Building the Collection

While the building works are forging ahead, the Library team have been busy building the collection for the new branch.

Items are now being boxed up, labled and arranged for the removalists. Countless boxes of new books, DVD's and CD's have been purchased and processed over the last 12 months. The following photos will give you an idea of just how much space 10,000 items takes up.

There has been a great deal of activity taking place on site over the last few weeks and keen construction watchers may have noticed the installation of some of the exterior graphics this week. Interior details are also progressing rapidly.

The concrete flow coat has been poured in the library entrance ready for polishing
